Residents of Matanzas pay tribute to Camilo Cienfuegos

The ceremony to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the physical disappearance of Camilo Cienfuegos began with a floral offering before the image of the heroic Guerrilla.

During the activity, the cards were handed out to new members of the Young Communist League and the Party in the province.

The ceremony was presided over by the First Secretary of the Party in Matanzas and Deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, the Governor of the province, Marieta Poey Zamora and leaders of the Party, the Government, central cadres of mass and student organizations as well as the FAR and the MININT.

The commemorative ceremony ended with the laying of flowers in the sea as a tribute and respect to the figure of Camilo, which constituted the closing of the Camilo-Che Ideological Day. (ALH)
