For his extensive revolutionary career and loyalty to the Homeland, the combatants and workers of the General Staff of the Central Army and the Matanzas Military Region paid posthumous tribute to Army Corps General Ramón Espinosa Martín.
Students from the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School laid wreaths before the image of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba who at the time of his death served as First Vice Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Matanzas, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, and the Chief of Staff of the Central Army, Brigadier General Carlos Pérez Gamez, participated in the farewell ceremony.
In the tribute to the high-ranking military leader, they recalled his participation in the Cuban revolutionary process and in the liberation of Angola and other countries on the African continent.
In gratitude to General Espinosa, soldiers, officers and combatants of the Cuban Revolution left white roses before his image. From the military salute they immortalized in the Central Army Theater the spirit of a man of action and thought dedicated to social justice.
