In 2013, DecorArte was born, the only non-state entity created in Cuba for the production of graphic prints, personalized items, and interior decoration and landscaping projects. Eleven years and many challenges later, what began as the adventure of a young entrepreneur has become one of the most successful non-agricultural cooperatives in the country, with national and international recognition. And it was born in Varadero, by the hand of its creator and president Ariel Balmaseda.
Now with the children’s brand Gaby and Sofi, they expand their products and venture into other areas, with equal acceptance from customers and the general public. Decorarte specializes in graphics and decoration. Its line of products and services is very broad and includes everything from stationery printing to personalized and office items, hotel signage, and the design and execution of interior design projects. They also specialize in graphic prints, public space decoration, urban furniture, and a wide range of products for children, with their brand Gaby and Sofi.
The Decorarte headquarters are located in the Marbella building, on 42nd Street, one of the most central areas of the Varadero resort, and the workshop where the productions are made is in the town of Santa Marta, just a few minutes from the main headquarters.
The history, origins and results of the non-agricultural cooperative Decorarte and its children’s brand Gaby and Sofi, have a clearly family seal; of commitment and will. They are projects that were born from the inspiration of Ariel Balmaseda and Isabel, his life partner; two entrepreneurs from Varadero who love their children, nature and the Varadero peninsula, a land where they have seen their family grow up and their dreams come true.
