Martyrs who fell in defense of the homeland are remembered

Every December 7th, in Cárdenas, Operation Tribute is remembered on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of this event, the moment in which those who fell in the fulfillment of internationalist missions were placed on Cuban soil.

On this sacred date of the nation, tribute is also paid to General Antonio Maceo Grajales and his assistant Panchito Gómez Toro on the 128th anniversary of their fall in combat.

Hundreds of Cardenas residents marched from the leadership of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution to the municipal cemetery, where those who fell in defense of socialism rest. The activity was presided over by the main authorities of the territory, combatants and relatives of the fallen.
