On September 4, a total of 50 educational institutions in the municipality of Jagüey Grande will open their doors to start the 2023-2024 school year.
According to María Julia Pérez Medina, municipal director of Education, as part of the preparations, the seminar was held for the municipal structure and the directors of the different student centers to offer details on the priorities of the new school period.
Pérez Medina pointed out that cleaning and organization tasks have been carried out in educational institutions and highlighted the constructive actions carried out in centers such as Iluminado Rodríguez, in the municipal seat; Juan Francisco Ortega. in the town of Australia and José de la Luz y Caballero, in Agramonte.
With respect to teaching coverage, the Director pointed out that in early childhood, primary and pre-university educational levels it is one hundred percent, while in secondary and professional technical education alternatives are sought to fill the deficit of teachers.
Pérez Medina highlighted as priorities for the new school year the development of a higher quality educational teaching process, computerization, preventive work and the preparation of students for the entrance exams to Higher Education. (ALH)
