The province of Matanzas complies with the execution of the State budget based on municipal strategies and the results of transferred income.

The province of Matanzas complies with the execution of the State budget based on municipal strategies and the results of transferred income. This makes the territory in surplus, mainly due to the support of four municipalities: Cárdenas, Matanzas, Ciénaga de Zapata and Perico, despite the fact that most of its municipalities are in deficit.

Regarding expenses, the province maintains budget support for the activity levels of the different sectors, while the territorial contribution has been used in all municipalities with emphasis on local development projects, to obtain greater social benefits.

The transformation of neighborhoods with vulnerable situations has primarily occupied attention in several territories. (ALH)
