Plus Ultra airline restarts winter operations through Varadero

With 280 passengers from Poland, the European country connects again with the Juan Gualberto Gómez international airport in Varadero through the airline Plus Ultra and the Rainbow Tour Operator.

The flight arrives in the context of the beginning of the high season for tourism in Cuba, which officially begins on November 22. Flights from the Polish city of Katowice will have a weekly frequency throughout the winter.

Ibia Betancourt Asén, Deputy Delegate of Tourism in Matanzas, recognized the preparation of the destinations Varadero, Ciénaga de Zapata and the historic center of Matanzas to receive visitors during the entire period.

Viajes Cubanacán will be the official receptive of Rainbow Tour. In its portfolio of services, it promotes excursions to the main destinations in the province, with emphasis on the tourist center of Varadero where 50 percent of Polish tourism remains.

This season, an increase in tourist operations through the Matanzas airfield is expected. The markets of Canada, Germany and Russia reaffirm the preference for Cuba as a destination for the winter season.
