The Circus has arrived!

The clowns Cabbage and Tarequito arrived on stage and with them the security of laughter and games. Each slap was the result of the antics on the makeshift space. The National Circus of Cuba is in Matanzas. This was demonstrated during the first presentations in the Yumurina city.

Numbers of gymnasts, contortionists, magicians and acrobats make up a good part of the repertoire with which the group arrived in the city of rivers and bridges. From the tent set up in the vicinity of the Matanzas Viaduct, the functions were filled with the typical color of the circus.

The numbers starring the young members of the National Circus of Cuba drew applause and merriment from the more than 1,000 spectators that the venue hosts. The initiative is included within the proposals of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and the National Council of Performing Arts for the approval of families at the beginning of summer.

The Son took over Tennis

The Adalberto Álvarez y su Son orchestra performed at the El Tenis square in the city of Matanzas as part of the initiatives of the Provincial Directorate of Culture at the beginning of summer 2023.

Iconic themes of the musical group and others of a new bill received the heat of the dancing public in the fusion between timba, salsa and contemporary rhythms.

Brayan Álvarez, current director of the group, revealed that they are in the process of recording a new album called «Segunda Vuelta». This phonogram has the collaboration of prominent national and foreign exponents such as Mayito Rivera and Gilberto Santa Rosa. He also brought forward the release of the long-awaited single with Maykel Blanco and Salsa Mayor.

In the summer stage, a series of musical and artistic proposals is planned for the approval of Yumurina families. The months of July and August will arrive loaded with a lot of flavor in the culture of Matanzas. (ALH)
