The Matanzas CDR members celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the proximity of the tenth Congress of the largest mass organization in the country during the provincial act in the territory.
The meeting served to honor Defense Committees, CDR members and national vanguard organizations for their active social participation from the neighborhoods.
A special moment was the delivery of the September 28 Distinction to men and women with an outstanding career in the accompaniment of the CDR tasks, at the proposal of the National Secretariat of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution. The municipality of Perico also received the status of National Vanguard.
Organizations such as Communal Services, the MININT, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the ANAP, the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba and the Union of Young Communists extended their recognition to the CDR members in the province.
On behalf of the people of Matanzas, the first secretary of the Party in Matanzas, Susely Morfa González, together with Governor Mario Sabines Lorenzo, gave special recognition to the provincial coordination of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution for their accompaniment to the Revolution.
