Provincial Council Analyzes Strategies in the Economic and Social Order

During its ordinary meeting in October, the Provincial Council of Government analyzed the actions carried out in Matanzas to achieve a leap in the economic and social order.

During the meeting, Governor Mario Sabines Lorenzo pointed out the challenges of the province in the agri-food field and the export of goods and services, as well as a more efficient management in the business sector.

The mayor of Unión de Reyes, Ángel Valdés, gave an account of the performance of the administration in this municipality and the main actions to solve problems in the different spheres.

The Provincial Council addressed in depth the sugarcane planting program and sugar production as priority issues for the territory.

An inside look at the sector highlighted the responsibility of the administrations to achieve progress with the support of all.

The first secretary of the Party in Matanzas, Susely Morfa González, reflected on the accompaniment of the people by the different organizations in the solution of problems. He also insisted on accelerating strategies to move companies with losses forward, and encouraging the culture of detail and food production.

During the meeting, the treatment of the voters’ proposals and the government’s management of social communication were also analyzed. (ALH)
