The event, held at the Plaza América Convention Center, had a broad representation of hotel managers and extra-hotel centers from the Tourism sector in the famous resort. The call had a wide response in the work teams of the Cubanacán, Gran Caribe, Islazul, Palmares Matanzas and Gaviota Branch Groups.
«This is an expression of how deeply the call for creative resistance has penetrated the workers of the Varadero Tourism sector and how much culinary art they generate, by appealing to innovation and honoring their firm commitment to post-pandemic recovery,» acknowledged the international chef. During the event, a group of MINAGRI companies presented part of their offers, as suppliers to the sector, and a jury made up of authorities in Varadero from the Culinary Association of the Republic of Cuba, renowned chefs and teachers from the Formatur School in Matanzas. , evaluated the creations in the contest.

The Sweet potato fried with coconut and guava was selected as Best Cuban Dessert, presented by the Solymar/Arenas Blancas/Palma Real Complex, from the Gran Caribe Group), and as the Best Complete Cuban Menu, main prize of the event, the one presented by the team of Plaza Las Morlas, from the Gaviota Group.
