Constitute Municipal Assembly of People’s Power of Matanzas

The province of Matanzas effected the Constitutive Assembly of the XVIII mandate of the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power of Matanzas.

Together to the 96 delegate of the province participated the member of the secretary and head of the Department of Attention of the Social Sector of the Central Committee Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Matanzas Susely Morfa Gonzalez and the governor of the province Mario Sabines Lorenzo.

According to the article 138 of the Cuban electoral law the delegates of Matanzas chose as president of the Municipal Assembly to Dailin Barbara Alfonso Mora who got more than 70 votes on this constitutive session.

With a recognition to the president and vice president outgoing the delegates from Matanzas ratified the continuity of the superior organ of the popular power to serve to the socialist Cuban revolution democratic and in favor of the humble. (ALH)
