The municipalities of Martí, Los Arabos and Calimete are the territories of Matanzas that present the greatest deficit in the collection of milk in a province in which, despite noticing a discreet growth in food production in recent days, still fails to comply with the plan strategy aimed at satisfying the demand of the population.
These and other vital issues of the socio-economic situation in Matanzas were evaluated in the last session of the Temporary Working Group of the highest authorities of the Party and the Government, in videoconference with the municipalities of the province.
In this instance, the need to control the contracting with the producers, the checking of the thermoses that receive and preserve the milk and its subsequent commercialization was insisted on.
Susely Morfa, first secretary of the Party in Matanzas, urged those responsible to increase food production from every corner of the province and take it to the communities themselves, an essential step to face inflation and guarantee people’s access to production.
Likewise, Governor Mario Sabines Lorenzo made a strong appeal for the role played by control agencies in confronting the manifestations of illegality in trade. In this sense, he urged the members of the inspection group to intensify the confrontation with the resellers and reiterated the need to adopt measures with impunity, lack of control, abuse and the high prices that are observed on the streets and in sales through the social networks.
Detailed information was also provided at the meeting on the distribution of the standard family basket for the month of March. In this sense, Commerce authorities reported that it is expected to conclude before the 17th of this month and that all products are in the province, except oil and salt.
