After the accident that occurred at the Matanzas Supertanker base, restoration work continues.

In the monthly check-up meeting held this Saturday, headed by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; It was reported that these works are backed by a million-dollar investment that includes technology and urban planning.

Rigel Rodríguez Cubells, director of the Matanzas Fuel Marketing Territorial Division, declared via videoconference about the actions carried out in the piping, fire, and water supply systems.

The fire detection and extinction system operates automatically on the north side and manually on the south.

The Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, assured that a check is carried out every week to find out the progress of the investment and the problems that may arise along the way.

Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of Matanzas, pointed out that in the next few days 18 homes will be delivered to families affected by the spread of fire in their properties.

In total there are 26 damaged homes and in all cases a solution has been planned. The recovery of the industrial zone goes beyond the space itself of the supertanker base.

To meet the objective of improving the entire industrial zone, cleaning and collection tasks are carried out to later undertake larger-scale actions. (ALH)
