With a flight of 388 passengers from Lisbon, the Portuguese tourism season began in Varadero.
The World2Flay airline plane landed at the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport in Varadero at 7:55 pm. The official NewBlue receptive plane of the Cubatur travel agency contributes to the enjoyment of the Portuguese vacation plan in the facilities of the Matanzas tourist center and Havana.
Odelyn Valladares, Commercial Assistant Director of Cubatur Varadero explains that these operations will take place from June to October with a weekly frequency every Saturday.
The Orbist airline is joining the World2Flay operations with a weekly flight on Saturday itself. On the opening day, the aircraft arrived at the Varadero airfield with 382 passengers from Lisbon.
The Iberians once again arrive on the island to enjoy the natural attractions and Cuban culture. This season they expect an increase in the number of Portuguese tourists arriving in Cuba through Varadero. (ALH)
