Increasing the production of milk and crops, supplying and creating new state markets, as well as compliance with the new economic measures implemented by the country, constituted the essence of the most recent check of indicators in the province of Matanzas.
The member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in Matanzas Susely Morfa González together with the Governor of the Province, Mario Sabines Lorenzo exchanged about the importance of controlling and looking for alternatives to alleviate the situation with food.
Morfa González indicated that with the implementation of the new economic measures, the work of the authorities and inspectors is essential to ensure compliance and combat illegalities.
“With the new measures, if we all work together and we manage to supply the state markets; Irregular prices and private forklift operators will necessarily have to adjust or they will simply disappear,” said the first secretary.
Regarding agri-food production in the 13 municipalities of the province, Luis Alberto Rodríguez, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party that attends to the agri-food sphere, and Carlos Luis Naranjo, provincial delegate for agriculture, reported that most of the territories managed to increase production of milk but that the province is still below the monthly production plan.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of increasing the hiring of producers of the liquid in the different municipalities to satisfy the demand of the population.
Tempering production methods to current times and the needs of the people becomes a profitable strategy in order to contribute to raising the quality of life of the people of Matanzas.
