After meeting throughout the month of August in five groups, the summer camp for diabetic children ended its last day.
The event managed to bring together more than 200 children suffering from the disease in the province, with the purpose of improving their quality of life.
As part of the closing activities, the plastic artist Jesús Alberto Mederos from Yumur prepared a painting with the Cuban flag that the children and their parents finished painting with their footprints.
During the farewell event, animated by the Papichón Clown, the Galatas Company and the Los Coyotes Mariachi, the staff of the Provincial Health Directorate recognized the doctors who made up the multidisciplinary medical team in charge of accompanying the children.
In the same way, the organizers of the contest gave recognition to the Sun Beach hotel in Varadero, the place where the summer camp for diabetic children was held. (ALH)
