Anti-Covid vaccination schemes are updated in Matanzas

Since last May in the province of Matanzas, efforts have been focused on updating the anti-Covid-19 vaccination scheme for pregnant women and mothers of children under two years of age.

The person in charge of the Vaccination Program in the Matanzas territory, Dr. Lissy Vega Rodríguez, specified that they complete the scheme or administer a booster dose to pregnant women to protect them during pregnancy and childbirth.

Vega assured that in the case of two-year-old children they are given the Abdala or Soberana 02 and Plus vaccines, and minors up to 18 years of age continue to receive the booster.

In Matanzas territory, the administration of reinforcement doses for the adult population over 19 years of age is also advancing and the third for risk groups and workers in Tourism, Public Health and Education. (ALH)
