Alert in Matanzas by Tropical Storm

Given the formation of tropical storm Idalia, with forecasts of close to 100 millimeters of rainfall, the member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in Matanzas, Susely Morfa González, guided preparation actions for the hydrometeorological situation in western Cuba.

In the extraordinary videoconference for the activation of the early warning phase, the importance of the orderly evacuation of residents in areas prone to flooding such as Calimete, Ciénaga de Zapata, Boca de Camarioca, Pedro Betancourt, among others, transcended.

The also deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power called to guarantee drinking water through pipes in the localities affected by the lack of liquid. In the province there are 20,000 people deprived of drinking water by supply from the hydraulic networks.
