The Provincial Assembly of the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) of Matanzas, held in the Yumurina capital, addressed issues such as the operation of group assemblies, vocational training, the promotion of cultivation for own consumption in educational centers, political preparation and the incorporation of women into the Women’s Voluntary Military Service.
The debate was chaired by the first secretary of the Party in the territory, Susely Morfa González, and members of the national and provincial secretariats of the student organization.
Among the main concerns of the membership is the rescue of cultural and sports activities organized by the FEEM at the provincial level, and the delegates also highlighted the importance of historical memory, the fight against foreign cultural penetration, the rise of social networks and the role of the Cuban student body in the digital environment.
The Provincial Assembly of the Matanzas FEEM became an occasion to recognize those who conclude their term as student leaders within the organization, and municipalities with an outstanding career. (ALH)
