Provincial directors’ meeting discusses projections for summer 2024

The security for summer activities was the central theme of the most recent meeting of directors of the province of Matanzas

An important aspect to take into account for the holidays is the fulfillment of energy saving measures in the workplace, highlighted the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, Mario Sabines Lorenzo.

The governor of the Matanzas territory, Marieta Poey Zamora, reported that summer will officially begin in the province on June 29.

The main authorities carried out a check of the production and commercialization of the territory. To date, the province complies with its net sales despite the fact that some companies and industries do not comply with their plan. Twenty-six states of the territory are showing losses, while agriculture is failing to meet its needs with various products such as eggs, pork, tomatoes and potatoes, among others.

The situation of transportation, the collection of solid waste, the fight against high prices, the supply of water and other services to the population were topics addressed during the meeting. (ALH)
