«Básicamente es tratar de seguir reciclando o reutilizando, y tratar de crear cada día una mejor obra de arte», expuso Díaz Herrera.

Dentro de su proyección el creador incluye la preparación de jóvenes en dichas técnicas.

«Enseñando a la juventud para que aprendan a no desechar nada, que todo tiene relación con el arte. Cuando tienes empeño y quieres hacer algo, siempre sale, poniendo mucha disciplina».

El proyecto cuenta con el auspicio de la Delegación Territorial del CITMA en Matanzas y del Consejo Provincial de las Artes Visuales.

Los elementos marinos, en especial el caballito de mar, resultan recurrentes en su obra.

«Ese es mi tema y siempre lo será. El caballo de mar me inspira mucho», confesó.

Noly continúa dando vida a estos animales.

«Tiene mucha tela por dónde cortar y cada vez encuentro algo nuevo en él».

La Feria Nacional de Innovación del Ministerio de Cultura, busca proyectos que, como «Mundos Forjados» permitan el continuo desarrollo de las artes en Cuba. La propuesta de Noly Díaz demuestra los beneficios de la reutilización, el rescate y reciclaje de materiales en la creación artística.

In a simple but emotional ceremony, the artist, known in the artistic world as Noly Díaz, was honored for his artistic contribution, among which pieces of great aesthetic invoice stand out.

Works of his authorship have been awarded prizes in important events such as the International Crafts Fair and the different salons organized by the Cuban Association of Artisans-Artists.

His proposals seduce by the chosen materials, often made from metallic waste, and the final result that arouses the admiration of the spectators.

Themes such as caring for the environment and in particular the protection of marine species have been treated by the artist with great mastery of his technique.

The Replica of the Mambí Machete of Generalísimo Máximo Gómez is a distinction granted by the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (Minfar) to writers, artists, journalists and cultural institutions that are an example of the Cuban intellectual committed to their time and to history.
